Livestock and Breeding

The MacGregors started farming the local land at Allanfauld in 1926, breeding cattle and sheep. Since then, they have reared many fine herds, consistently producing prize-winning animals.

 

To this day they continue to follow that fine tradition with a mix of both cattle and sheep, carefully recording every one.

There are currently two breeds of cattle farmed at Allanfauld; Limousin and Charolais, and also two breeds of sheep; Texel and Blackface.
